The cervical canal is different for women during menacme (period in which they have the menstrual cycle) and for women in menopause (period after 1 year without menstrual bleeding.) In hysteroscopy, the cervical canal is commonly divided into three parts: proximal section, middle section, and distal section
• First part or proximal section or lower section, presence of a light, crystalline mucus, presence of crypts, microvesicular (resembling grape clusters.)
• Second part or middle section: the details of the buds are lost. It is possible to view longitudinal creases.
• Third part or upper section: presents the mucosa with a smooth, poorly vascularized surface
